Privacy Policy
The short version: We collect only what we need to run the app, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account and everything in it at any time. What follows is the full detail.
1. Who we are
TraderVoila ("we," "us," or "our") is a web-based suite of tools for retail traders and investors, available at tradervoila.com. We are an independent project, not affiliated with any broker, exchange, or financial institution.

2. Information we collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate the service:
- Account information: When you create a free account, we collect your email address and a hashed (encrypted) password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Trade data you enter: Ticker symbols, strike prices, premiums, dates, and notes that you log in our tools. This data belongs to you and is stored on your behalf.
- Usage information: Basic analytics such as which pages are visited and approximate geographic region (country level). We do not track individual user behavior across the web.
- Device and browser information: Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and operating system. These are used for security and performance purposes only.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, brokerage credentials, or any sensitive financial identifiers. We do not ask for payment information directly — all payments are processed by Stripe, which has its own privacy policy.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the TraderVoila tools
- Authenticate your account and keep it secure
- Sync your trade data across your devices
- Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, expiration alerts if you opt in)
- Respond to support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We do not use your trade data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with data brokers under any circumstances.
4. How your data is stored and secured
Your trade data is stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database protected by Row Level Security (RLS). This means at the database level, each user's data is technically isolated — not just by application logic, but enforced by the database itself. Other users cannot access your trades even if they knew your user ID.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption). Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt before storage. We do not have access to your plain-text password.
While we take reasonable technical precautions, no system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you via the email address on your account within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach.
5. Data retention
Your account and trade data are retained for as long as your account is active. If your account has had no login activity for 365 consecutive days, we will send an email warning to your registered address. If no login occurs within 30 days of that warning, your account and all associated data may be permanently deleted.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@tradervoila.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use minimal cookies necessary to keep you logged in (session tokens). We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party behavioral analytics.
This site may display Google AdSense advertisements. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.
This site participates in affiliate programs with select brokers. If you click an affiliate link and open an account, we may receive a commission. Affiliate links are disclosed where they appear.
7. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate TraderVoila:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting. Supabase Privacy Policy
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Stripe Privacy Policy
- Google AdSense — advertising. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Fonts — typography, loaded from Google's CDN.
We do not sell or share your personal information with any of these providers beyond what is necessary to deliver their services.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability: Request your trade data in a machine-readable format (CSV export, available to Pro subscribers)
- Objection: Object to certain uses of your data
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@tradervoila.com. We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for reasonable requests.
9. Children's privacy
TraderVoila is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at privacy@tradervoila.com.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify registered users via email. Your continued use of TraderVoila after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
